The group here at Kulaaskalan Farmer Producer Company Limited is just a bunch of us locals from around Bilkisganj. You can find us over at Gajraj Singh Bhagwat Sing’s place in Kulash Kala. Most of us have been working these fields in Sehore for a long time, and we figured it was about time we started working together instead of just doing our own thing separately. It gets pretty hot out here in Madhya Pradesh, and the rain doesn't always come when you want it to, which makes farming a bit of a gamble most years. We deal with the usual stuff like seeds and making sure the harvest actually gets to where it needs to go without costing us too much. Honestly, it’s not some big fancy operation. We just sit around near the 466111 area and talk about how to get better prices for our grain or what to do about the soil this season. Sometimes things go well, and sometimes they don't, but having the company name on paper helps when we need to talk to the bigger offices or get supplies in bulk. Gajraj Singh and the rest of the guys try to keep things organized, even when we’re all busy out in the mud. We don't have a big office or anything, just the village and our tools. It's just hard work and trying to make sure everyone in the group gets a fair shake at the end of the day.
