Ameerpet is a crazy place to have an office, but that’s where Thoran Technologies Services Private Limited is. We are right opposite Arena Multimedia, which stays busy with students all day. Our building is the Care Well Womens Hostel one. It’s a bit of a maze in Durganagar. If you’ve ever been to this part of Hyderabad, you know how it is. Cables everywhere, people rushing to classes, and the smell of tiffins in the air. We are a small team. We don’t have a big HR department or anything like that. It’s just a few of us handling technical services. The office is a bit cramped, with papers and hardware lying around, but we know where everything is. We usually get our chai from the guy downstairs. The noise from the street is constant, but you get used to it after a week. Sometimes we have to shout to be heard over the traffic outside. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. Most of us are in jeans and t-shirts. We don’t follow a strict clock, but we make sure the work gets done. It’s a practical way to run a business. We don't have fancy coffee machines, just a kettle and some milk powder. It's homey in its own way. We like being in the middle of all the action in Ameerpet because it keeps us on our toes.
