Down in Vengal Rao Nagar, we’re located at 105/C, right near the Brahmam Talent School. It’s a busy little pocket of Hyderabad. You can always hear the school bell ringing or the sound of traffic from the main road nearby. Sorokasoft Pvt is based in this building, and it’s a fairly modest space for a software company. We have our computers set up in a couple of rooms that stay pretty cool even when it’s boiling outside. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find bean bags or ping-pong tables. We just have sturdy chairs and enough desk space for our equipment. Most of our mornings are spent catching up on emails and checking the progress of the code we wrote the day before. Because we’re near the school, the street gets really crowded in the afternoons, so we usually just stay put until things calm down. We’ve gotten to know the local tea stall owner and the other people working in the nearby buildings. It’s a very grounded environment. We don't spend much time on decorations or fancy lighting. We just focus on the projects at hand and keep our heads down. It’s a practical setup for people who just want to get their work done without any fuss. We aren't trying to impress anyone, we just want the software to work correctly.
