Somaraju

Our shop is right in the middle of Gun Bazar in Rasool Pura. If you’ve ever spent time in Secunderabad, you know that area is always packed with people. The address is H.No 1-18-42, and it’s basically an old house that we have converted to use for the business. It’s not fancy at all. The walls have been painted a few times over the years, and the shelves are usually full of whatever we are dealing with at the moment. It gets quite loud outside with the traffic and people shouting in the bazar, but we’re used to the noise by now. Somaraju is just the name on the front of the building, but for us, it’s where we spend most of our daylight hours. We don’t have a website with a bunch of promises or marketing photos. People usually just find us because they know the area well or someone told them to come here. We deal with locals mostly. The heat in the summer can be tough since the building is old, but we keep the fans going all day. It’s a very hands-on kind of job for the staff. We are constantly moving boxes or talking to suppliers who pull up their trucks right at the front door. There’s no corporate dress code here; we just wear what is comfortable for the work. It’s a bit dusty and the floors are worn down, but it’s a real place where real business happens.
