Sigma Microsystems is based over at B-16 Vikrampuri Colony. It’s a bit more of a residential-feeling area compared to some of the big industrial parks, which we actually like quite a bit. It’s quieter and there are some nice trees along the road. Our office is a converted space that fits our team just right. We have our desks set up and wires running everywhere because of the different systems we work on. It’s not the kind of place with a glass front or a big logo in the lobby. Most people just know us by the address or from working with us over the years. We usually have the windows open when the weather is nice, though the dust can be an issue if we aren't careful. We handle a lot of small parts and technical work, so everyone is usually bent over their workspace focusing. We drink a lot of coffee and talk about the news or what’s happening in the neighborhood. It’s a very informal atmosphere. If a customer comes by, they usually just sit on the extra chair near the door. We don’t have a lot of hierarchy; the person who answers the phone might be the same one fixing a circuit later. It’s just us doing our thing every day and trying to make sure everything we build works the way it is supposed to when it leaves.
