The shop is small and usually has several computers opened up on the workbenches. You will see plenty of tiny screws, circuit boards, and screens lying around. We spend our days staring at monitors and trying to figure out why a machine won't turn on. It is quiet work for the most part, except for the sound of a cooling fan or a soldering iron. People come in with their laptops looking worried because they have lost their files or spilled something on the keyboard. We take a look and tell them what we can do. We don't use a lot of big words or try to confuse anyone. It is just about fixing what is broken. The neighborhood around here is mostly residential, so we get to know the locals pretty well. Sometimes we have a backlog of repairs and the shelves get crowded with black cases and power cords. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can. It is a bit cramped in the back where we keep the spare parts. But we know exactly where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to someone else.
