We are based out of Naidupet in the Nellore area, specifically located where the Empee Sugars and Chemicals plant is. It’s a big site and we’ve been working out of here for a good while. Shivanandan’s family has been involved with this for years. Living and working around a sugar factory means the environment is always active. There is a lot of movement with trucks and people coming through every day. We handle our side of things quietly and keep the operations going. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a shiny lobby or reception desk. Instead, it’s mostly about getting the tasks done that are needed on-site. The heat in Andhra Pradesh can be tough in the summer months, but we just get used to it. We spend most of our time dealing with the daily requirements of the facility here. It’s a practical life, working in an industrial setting like this. People know us by our location near the sugar works. Sometimes the smells from the factory are quite strong, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything; we just show up and do the work that is expected of us. It’s been this way for as long as I can remember. We are just a local group trying to stay busy and provide what the plant needs. We take our lunches together when we can.
