Programmer

My place is right opposite the Vasavi Theatre in Guntakal, house number 17/305. Most people in town know the theatre, so it’s easy to find my location. I’m Sandeep Kumar, the son of A. Srinivasulu, and I’ve set up my work right here at home. Guntakal is a big railway junction, so there's always a sense of people coming and going from all over, but in my room, it’s just me and my computer. Working as a Programmer in Anantapur district means I have to be a bit more self-reliant than folks in the city. I don't have a big team to lean on, so I handle all the coding and troubleshooting myself. The theatre across the street gets very busy in the evenings when a new movie is playing, and I can hear the crowds and the loud music through the walls. It’s a nice change from the quiet of my work during the day. The house is a typical one for this area, nothing fancy or modern, just a place to live and do business. I’ve been doing this for a while now, and my family is used to seeing me glued to the screen for hours. It’s not a corporate setup with a logo or a reception desk. It’s just a desk, a chair, and a lot of patience. Sometimes the weather gets incredibly hot in the summer, and the fan barely helps at all, but the work has to get done regardless of the heat.
