Programmer

I work out of my house in Weavers Colony, which is in Yemmiganur. The address is 1/2042, and if you know this part of Kurnool district, you know it’s mostly a quiet and dusty place. Being a Programmer here is a bit different than being in the big city. The internet can be slow sometimes when the weather is bad, and I have to deal with the occasional power cut, but I manage with a backup. My setup is just a desk in the corner of my main room. I’ve been living here for years, so everyone in the colony knows me and my family. They see me sitting at the computer through the window and probably wonder what I’m doing all day in the dark. It’s a small town, so news travels fast, but my work is mostly done on the screen for people far away. The air is better here than in the big cities, and I don't have a long commute to deal with at all. I just wake up, have my coffee, and start typing. Sometimes the sheep or goats from the nearby houses make some noise, but it’s generally peaceful. There isn't a big company name or anything fancy, just me working under my own name. I handle everything myself, from the very first lines of code to the final checks before sending it off. It’s honest work and it keeps me busy enough throughout the month. Yemmiganur is famous for weaving, but I’ve taken a slightly different path with computers.
