We are down here on the ground floor of Jaya Mansion on Sarojini Devi Road. It’s right in the Parklane area, so it gets pretty loud with all the traffic and people walking by all day. Our spot at number 7 is easy to find if you know the road, but sometimes the parking around here is just a total mess. Obel Computers has been operating from this building for a good while now. It’s a bit cramped inside because we have a lot of parts and old machines lying around, but we know where everything is. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the work to worry about that. Some days it gets quite dusty because of the main road, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the monitors. There is a tea stall just a few doors down where we go when we need a break from the screens. It’s not a fancy office with big glass windows, just a practical place where we get things done. We mostly deal with computer hardware and whatever problems walk through the door. Most of the regulars in Parklane know us by now. We just open up the shutters in the morning and stay until the work is finished. It’s a simple setup, and it works for us without much fuss. Maybe it's not the quietest place, but it feels like home after all these years.
