If you go down to Padmarao Nagar, right beside the Andhra Bank, you will find New Palamoor Cement Pipe Company. Our door number is 6-1-131/1. We make cement pipes of all different sizes in the yard behind the office. It is a loud place because of the mixers and the heavy molds being moved around. We have been here for a long time, so everyone knows the spot. Having the bank next door makes it easy to give directions to people. We have a small group of guys who have been working with cement for years. They know exactly how to mix it so the pipes do not crack under pressure. We do not really do fancy marketing or have a sales team. Usually, people just see the pipes stacked up from the road and pull in to ask. We talk about what they need for their drainage or construction. Sometimes we have to wait for a batch to dry before we can move it. The yard is a bit cramped, so we have to be careful where we put things so the trucks can still get in. It is a hands-on job and we are usually covered in grey dust by noon. We just like doing a good day’s work. We are not a big corporation, just a local pipe yard. We keep things simple and try to help out the builders in the area.
