Finding our place can be a little tricky if you aren’t looking closely. We are down on the lower ground floor at Ranigunj, right in that 5-5-200-1 spot. Being in a basement-level office means we don’t get much natural light, so we keep the overhead lamps on all day. It’s mostly dusty boots and stacks of site plans around here. The air gets a bit heavy when it rains because of the ventilation, but we’ve got a small fan that helps a bit. Construction work keeps us out on the field a lot, so the office is often empty except for one person handling the phone. When we are all in, it gets pretty crowded and loud with everyone talking over each other. Ranigunj is a frantic area anyway, so the noise from the street carries down even to us. We’ve got an old water cooler that makes a weird rattling sound every ten minutes. It’s been there since we moved in. Nobody has bothered to fix it yet because it still gives cold water. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and arguing about delivery schedules for cement and steel. It is hard work, and the hours are long, especially when a project is nearing a deadline. We just put our heads down and handle whatever problem comes up that morning. It’s a plain, functional space for people who don't mind getting their hands dirty.
