Deepak Stores

My family and I have been running Deepak Stores for years now. We are located at Shop No-3-3-55 in Kurma Basti. It’s a busy little spot, especially being so close to the Bata on R.P Road. Most mornings start with us rolling up the shutters and seeing the regular crowd walk by. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just a simple shop where we keep the things people in this part of town need every day. Sometimes the traffic on R.P Road gets a bit much, but you get used to the noise after a while. We know most of the faces that come through the door by their first names. It isn't a big corporate operation, just us doing our thing day in and day out. If you’re walking past the Bata shop, you just have to turn towards Kurma Basti to find us. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but our little corner stays mostly the same. The shelves are always full of various bits and pieces, and we try to keep things organized, even if it gets a bit cluttered during the afternoon rush. It’s a honest way to make a living and we like being part of the community here. There’s always someone stopping by for a chat or to pick up something they forgot earlier. That's just how life goes at the store. We just open up and see what the day brings.
