Gas Point

We are located at No.-11 in New Bhoiguda. It’s a busy area and we fit right in. Gas Point is basically a place where we handle gas-related stuff every single day. There’s always a row of cylinders being moved or checked. The smell of the shop is very specific, a mix of metal and old dust. It’s not a place for sitting around. We are usually busy loading things or checking valves to make sure everything is tight. The neighborhood knows us well enough. Most people just stop by when they have a problem with their stove or need a refill. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything. Just the work we do. My hands are usually stained from the soot or the metal parts. It’s okay though. I’ve been doing this for a long time now. The street outside can get really crowded with trucks and rickshaws, so getting things in and out takes some patience. We have a small desk in the corner where we keep the papers, but mostly we are on our feet. It gets pretty loud when the heavy tanks clatter against each other. We try to keep things orderly but it’s a working shop, so it gets messy fast. Rain or shine, we’re open and doing the same routine. It’s a steady way to make a living and we know our neighbors. That’s all there is to it.
