Deewarist Store

We are located inside the Pooja Palais Apartment building in Motilal Nehru Nagar. It is unit No. 103. It's a bit different because we are part of a residential block, so it feels more like a home than a regular street shop. Begumpet can be very loud with all the traffic, but once you step into our specific area, things quiet down a little bit. We started Deewarist Store because we wanted a local spot for people in the apartments and the nearby streets to get what they need. The room is quite bright during the day because of the big windows facing the driveway. We have shelves lined up with various items, mostly things that folks around here need on a daily basis. It isn't a huge supermarket or anything like that. It's small and manageable. Sometimes the kids from the building run in to see what’s new or to buy a snack. We spend a lot of time just organizing the stock and making sure everything is tidy. The entryway can get a bit cluttered when new deliveries arrive, but we try to clear it out pretty fast. We don't use any fancy systems, just a basic notebook and a simple calculator for the bills. It feels personal because we know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. We usually have the radio playing some soft music in the background to keep the mood light. It is a steady way to spend the day, right here in the heart of the colony.
