Bombay Beauty Parlour

Bombay Beauty Parlour is on the first floor of Dubeys Smr Arcade. We are in Flat No. 106, right on the Main Road in Chikkadpally. If you are looking for the building, we are directly opposite the Jai Mahaveer Colour Lab. Being on the first floor is nice because it gets us a little bit away from the dust of the Hyderabad traffic, though you can still hear the noise from the main road. The arcade has several shops, but people usually find us easily enough by taking the stairs up. The shop has been here in Chikkadpally for a long time. We have the usual mirrors along the walls and the black salon chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. We do hair and skin work for the women in the neighborhood. It’s the kind of place where you don’t have to act fancy. We just use simple English to talk to our customers and get the work done. In the afternoons, when it is really hot outside, the shop is a good place to hide from the sun for an hour. We drink a lot of tea while we work, and sometimes we share a cup with the regulars if they are waiting for their hair color to set. It’s a busy life here in this part of Hyderabad, but we like the pace and the people who come in every day.
