The shop is a straightforward place for men to come and get a haircut or a shave. We have the usual barber chairs and big mirrors that show every detail. The counters are covered with clippers, scissors, and different kinds of hair creams. It usually smells like talcum powder and aftershave inside. There is a small television near the ceiling that we keep on for the news or some entertainment while people wait. We have a few plastic chairs for anyone waiting their turn. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we are always using the broom between customers. It is a neighborhood spot where a lot of the regulars live just a few streets away. We talk about the local news or whatever is happening in the city while we work. The shop stays open from early morning until late in the evening.
