Ashoka Digitronics

We set up Ashoka Digitronics inside the Shankala Complex on MG Road a while back. It is a very busy spot in the city, and the stairs leading up to the shop can be a bit of a climb if you are not used to them. We deal with all sorts of electronics, mostly doing repairs and selling small parts that people need. The shop is usually full of tangled wires, circuit boards, and old screens waiting to be fixed. It is not the neatest place you will ever visit, but we know exactly where every tool is kept. MG Road is always noisy with cars and bikes, so we usually have a small radio playing in the corner to drown it out. Most of the people who come in are locals who have a broken television or a remote that just stopped working. We do not promise to fix things in five minutes because some jobs take a lot of patience. We sit at the back with the soldering irons going for hours. It smells like hot lead and burnt plastic sometimes. My cousin helps out when he is not at his other job. We drink a lot of strong coffee to stay awake during the long, quiet afternoons. It is a small space, so we have to be careful not to trip over the boxes on the floor. It is a simple living for us. We just like helping people get their gadgets working again.
