If you go to the Pot Market area and head to the Lalchand Complex, you’ll find us there. Aqua Diamonds And Designs is on the first floor in Suite 51. The market is always crowded, so it’s a bit of a walk through the stalls to get to our door. Inside, we spend our time looking at stones and working on different jewelry pieces. My father started this years ago, and I just took over. We do a lot of the design work right here on the small table by the window because the light is better there. It’s not a large showroom with bright lights and fancy carpets. It’s more of a workshop where we actually sit and make things. Sometimes the tools are all over the place and there are tiny bits of metal on the floor, but that’s how it is when you’re busy. We see a lot of regular people who’ve been coming to this market for decades. They know where we are. We don’t do much advertising, mostly just people telling their neighbors about us. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but we have a small fan that helps. We just like making things that people enjoy wearing. It’s a slow process sometimes, especially with the intricate designs, but we don't like to rush it. We just sit here and work quietly.
