Maa Sharda Bricks

Our shop is number 45 on the Amarpatan Main Road. We are right near the HP Petrol Pump, so we get a lot of people stopping by while they are out running errands. Maa Sharda Bricks has been here for a bit now. We mostly deal with the local builders and people from the surrounding villages. It’s a busy road, so there is always noise from the traffic. We keep our brick samples out front so people can see them. Most of the actual brick making happens a bit further away, but this is where we do all the talking and orders. We don’t use any big words or try to act like we are some huge company. We are just local people trying to earn a living. Sometimes the supply is a bit slow because of the rain, and we have to tell people to wait. We don’t like doing that, but you can’t control the clouds. The shop is small and a bit crowded with papers and samples. We spend a lot of time drinking chai and talking to whoever comes through the door. It’s a friendly place. We know most of our customers by their first names. We just try to get the job done and keep the business moving through the year. It gets very busy during the building season but we manage it.
