The Central Park Hotel, Pune

It is a bit of a funny thing because our name says Pune but we are actually located out in Khatgun. That is in the Khatav Tehsil over in the Satara district. It is a much quieter place than the big city, that is for sure. We run the hotel here for people who are just passing through or visiting family in the area. The pin code is 415502 if you are trying to find us on a map. Life moves a lot slower here in Satara. We spend our mornings getting the guest rooms ready and checking on the kitchen supplies. It is a very simple setup. We do not have the big flashy lights or the lobby of those city hotels. Usually, it is just local travelers or people working on projects nearby who stay with us. Most of the staff comes from the village area right around here. We know almost everyone. Sometimes the weather gets really hot in the afternoon, so we try to keep the place as cool as we can for whoever walks in. We have been at this post in Khatgun for some time now. Managing a hotel in a rural spot like this is very different than being in the city. You have to handle almost everything yourself. If a pipe leaks, we are the ones who fix it. It is a lot of hands-on work. We just want people to have a place to sleep and something to eat.
