Hotel Sai Raj Garden

Out here in Nerla, things are a bit slower than the big cities, but being on the Pune Bangalore highway keeps us busy. Our place, Hotel Sai Raj Garden, is situated right near the Leader wadi fata. If you know the Sangli district, you know how much traffic goes through this stretch. We have a bit of space here in the 415406 area. The garden part of the name is because we have some outdoor area where people sit. It gets a bit breezy in the evenings which is nice after a hot day. Most of our days are spent watching the cars and buses go by on the main road. We see a lot of families traveling between cities. The ground around the hotel is just regular soil, nothing too manicured. We try to keep the tables clean and the water cold. It’s a family-run kind of thing. My cousins and I take turns managing the shifts. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but we manage. People stop here because it’s a convenient point before hitting the next big town. There are a few other shops nearby at the fata, but we've been here for a good amount of time. It’s a simple setup. We don't use fancy lights or expensive decorations. Just a place to sit down and rest your legs for a bit while you are on a long drive across the state. It is just what you expect from a roadside stop.
