Sai Starch Products

Our place, Sai Starch Products, is out in Apashinge. If you know the Koregaon taluka, you’ve probably passed by this area at some point. We handle starch here every day. It’s mostly about processing the material and making sure the bags are ready for whoever needs them. The village is usually quiet but the work inside the plant keeps us moving. The sun gets pretty hot in the afternoon. We have a few machines running and people from around the district come in to help out. It isn't a huge operation like the ones you see in the big cities, but it works for us. We spend most of our time checking the quality of the powder. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, on our clothes and the desks. You can see the fields from the back door of the facility. It's a simple setup at Sr.No.723. We don't have a big reception area or fancy coffee machines. Just a desk and some chairs where we sit to talk about the day's tasks. The road leading to the site is okay, though it gets a bit dusty in the summer months. Most people here have been doing this for a long time. We know the rhythm of the place. When the trucks come in to load, everyone gets busy. Then it settles down again for a while. We just focus on what needs doing. It's a steady life in a small corner of the world. We don't worry about being the biggest. We just make sure the starch is right.
