Sai Dal Mil

Running Sai Dal Mil here on Kings Road keeps us on our toes most days. We are located right in the Adte Bazar area, which is always busy with people moving around and trucks dropping off supplies. If you know the College Area, you probably know our corner at Plot No. 90-A. The machines make a lot of noise when we are processing the dal, so it’s never really quiet around here until the evening. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the pulses and making sure the bags are filled correctly. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy sacks and stacking them up in the warehouse space we have. The floors usually have a bit of dust from the grains, but that’s just how it is in a mill. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the local shops get what they need. Some days are more hectic than others, especially when a big load comes in unexpectedly. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the bazar. It’s a decent place to work, even if it gets a bit hot and crowded sometimes. We just keep the machines running and handle the daily chores as they come up. Not much more to it than that, honestly, it’s just the life of a mill owner in this neighborhood.
