Ajivika Bhoomika Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in the village of Bankati. We are over at House Number 51, at Anand Mahato’s place. It’s in the Govindpur area of Rajnagar, which falls under the Seraikela - Kharsawan district. We are a group of farmers who came together to form this company. It’s a very local operation. We don't have any big advertisements or a polished image. We are just people from the village working on the land. Jharkhand is a tough place to farm sometimes, so we figured we would be better off working together. Our office is just a regular house in Bankati. You might see some of us sitting there talking about the crops or the market prices. It’s a simple setup, but it’s ours. We handle everything from the seeds to the final sale. It’s a lot of work and sometimes it gets a bit messy with all the paperwork and the mud from the fields. We aren't looking to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make a decent living for our families. The people in Govindpur know us and we know them. It’s a community thing more than anything else. We just keep our heads down and focus on the farming. That’s the reality of it here at Ajivika Bhoomika. We do our best with what we have in Seraikela.
