Shemford Little Stars-Sangrur

You can find us over at E-71 in Officer Colony, right on Street No.-2 here in Sangrur. Shemford Little Stars is basically a place for the younger kids to spend their mornings before they are old enough for the bigger schools. Since we are in a residential area, it feels more like a house than a big institution. The rooms are filled with colorful mats, small chairs, and plenty of bins for toys. It gets pretty noisy around 9 am when everyone starts arriving. Some kids are happy to be here and others take a bit more time to settle down and stop crying. We spend the day doing drawings, singing some songs, and playing with blocks. The staff here are mostly local women who have a lot of patience with the little ones. We have a small outdoor area where they can run a bit, but mostly we are inside where it’s safe. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't have a giant campus, just enough space for the toddlers to learn their alphabet and numbers. Parents usually live nearby, so they just walk their kids over in the morning. We have a routine that we follow, but with toddlers, things don't always go according to plan. That’s just how it is with small children. We make sure they eat their snacks and get a bit of rest.
