Mohan Mali International School

Mohan Mali International School is situated right by the railway station in Kavathe Mahankal. It is a busy part of Sangli because of the trains coming and going at all hours. There is almost always a bit of a hum in the air from the station. We have been operating here for some time now. The school building stands out quite a bit because it is larger than many of the small houses sitting around it. We have students who come in from all over the local district. Some of them walk to school, while others take the train. Our staff handles the whole daily schedule, starting from the morning assembly all the way to the final bell in the afternoon. It is not always a quiet environment, especially with the station nearby, but we have all gotten used to the sound of the tracks. The desks are lined up in the classrooms and we have a playground that gets pretty dusty during the hot summer months. We do not spend money on big advertisements or fancy public events. Most of our energy goes into the teaching and making sure the kids stay on track with their schoolwork. Parents often drop by to talk about how their children are doing, and we sit down with them whenever we have a free moment. It is a straightforward place where we focus on the basics and keep things running as smoothly as we can.
