Jay Ambay Steel

Jay Ambay Steel is located over at L 29/B in the MIDC Kupwad area. It’s an industrial zone, so it’s always got that heavy, working feel to it. Our shop is right across from the Krishnavalli Marathi School, so we hear the kids playing during their breaks while we are cutting or moving metal. Steel is a messy business, and our place shows it. There are stacks of rods and sheets everywhere, and the floor is usually covered in iron filings and dark oil. We don't have a reception area or anyone in a suit. Usually, you’ll find us out back with the machines, wearing our heavy boots and gloves. The noise of the grinders is pretty much constant from morning until we close up for the evening. It’s a lot of physical labor, and by the end of the day, we are all pretty tired. The weather in Kupwad can get quite dusty, especially with all the industrial traffic, but we just deal with it. We’ve been at this spot for a while, and most of the other shop owners nearby know us. It’s a simple operation where the focus is just on the steel and getting the orders sorted. We don't worry much about how the front looks, as long as the work inside is getting done right. It’s a tough environment, but it's what we do and where we stay.
