Datta Steel Yard

Our yard is out in the Kupwad MIDC Industrial Area. If you know where the police station is, we are pretty close to that. It’s Plot No H1/1C. It is basically just a big open space where we keep all the steel stock. Datta Steel Yard isn't anything fancy to look at. We have a small cabin for the accounts and a couple of chairs. The ground is mostly dirt and gravel, so it gets really muddy when it rains. We spend a lot of time moving heavy things around with the forklift. The sun can be really strong out here in the industrial area during the summer. There isn't much shade except for inside the main shed. We’ve been here for several years now. Most of the people who come by are regulars from the nearby factories in Kupwad. They just pull up their trucks, we load them up, and they head out. It's a busy and repetitive routine every day. Sometimes the trucks get backed up on the road near the police station. We just keep our heads down and do the daily work. The air is always thick with the sound of machinery coming from the other industrial plots. It’s a hardworking part of town. We don't really do much else besides the steel business. It takes up all the space in the yard and all our time anyway. We're just glad to be located where people can find us easily enough for their needs.
