Sri Keethaki Sangameshwara Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group is called Sri Keethaki Sangameshwara Farmers Producer Company Limited. We are based out at H No 1-77Hangarga Chapta, Narayankhed. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city, which suits us just fine. We’re all locals here who know the land and what it can do. The office we have is pretty basic, just a place to keep our records and meet up to discuss things. We aren't interested in sounding like a big corporation because we aren't one. We’re just a collection of neighbors who wanted to have more say in how our crops are sold. It gets pretty hot out here in Narayankhed, and we usually do our meetings early or late to avoid the sun. You’ll see a lot of tractors and old bikes parked outside our place on most days. We talk about the rain a lot, mostly because we always need more of it. There’s no big mission statement on the wall, just a calendar and maybe some notes about prices. We handle whatever crops are being grown in the area, from grains to whatever else is in season. It’s hard work and it doesn’t always pay what we hope, but it’s what we know how to do. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks and try to keep things moving forward for everyone involved in the group. We spend our time checking on the supplies and making sure the storage space is kept clean for the next load.
