We started Shaligouraram Farmers Producer Companylimited because we needed a better way to handle things ourselves. Most of us are just regular folks from around here in Shali Gouraram. You can find us at the spot marked 4-12, it’s where we get together to talk about the season and what crops are looking good. It isn't anything fancy, just a room where we keep our papers and meet up. Being in a small place like Shali Gouraram means we all know each other anyway. Sometimes the weather is rough and other times it is okay, but having this group makes it a bit easier to manage. We don't have a big office staff or anything like that. Just a few of us taking turns keeping the books and making sure the seeds and stuff get sorted out properly. It gets dusty in the summer and muddy when it rains, but that is just how it goes here. We wanted a way to work together instead of everyone just doing their own thing and hoping for the best. Some days are long, especially during harvest when everyone is busy in the fields and nobody wants to sit in an office. But we make time to keep things running at 4-12. It’s a local effort. We aren't trying to be some big city corporation. We just want to make sure the farming around Shali Gouraram stays decent for the people living here.
