Shikhare Farmer Producer Company Limited is a small group located at H.No. 85 in Tondapur. We are basically a bunch of farmers from around here who decided to pool our resources. Tondapur is a quiet place and our office is just a regular house number. There isn't any big neon sign or anything like that. You just walk up to the door and find us there. Most of the time, we are out in the fields or checking on the cattle. When we meet at the house, it's usually to talk about seeds or who is buying the harvest this year. We started this because doing things alone was getting too hard. It’s better to be together. We don’t have a marketing department or a fancy website. It's just us writing things down in ledgers and talking to people we've known our whole lives. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to finish our work by candlelight, but we get it done. Dealing with the weather and the markets is enough stress, so we keep the company part simple. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to make sure the families in Tondapur are getting a fair shake. If you come by, you'll probably find us sitting on the porch or in the front room. It's a very basic operation, just local folks helping each other out with their farming business.
