Sindhusagar Farmers is based in Sangamner at the Audyogik Vasahat area. Specifically, we are at 54/1, which is Sunil Nanasaheb Awari’s place. Being in an industrial zone is a bit different for a farming group, but it helps with getting things moved around. Sangamner is a busy town, and we wanted to make sure the farmers from the outskirts had a way to get their produce into the system without too much trouble. We spend our days coordinating between the growers and the buyers. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking on the quality of the produce coming in. We don't have a corporate structure with managers and all that. It’s just Sunil and a few others keeping an eye on the operations. We deal with milk, vegetables, and whatever else is being harvested in the local area. The company was started because we felt that individual farmers were losing out. Now, we can talk to buyers as a single unit. It’s not always smooth sailing; sometimes there are delays or the prices aren’t what we hoped for. But we stick together through the ups and downs. Our office is a practical space where we store some supplies and do the accounts. It’s a straightforward business run by people who actually know how to farm. We don't pretend to be something we're not. We’re just the Sindhusagar group trying to do right by our members and keep things going for the long run.
