Om Auto

Our place, Om Auto, is located right on Nh-6 in the Bargarh district. If you know Goshala Road, you know exactly where we are. It’s a loud area because of all the trucks and cars zooming by on the highway at all hours. We spend most of our time out in the front, watching the traffic and waiting for the next job to pull in. The shop is pretty basic, just a roof and the tools we need to get through the day. We don't have fancy air conditioning or a waiting room with a TV. People usually just stand around and chat while we work. Bargarh is a busy place, and being on the highway means we see a lot of different faces every week. Some are locals we’ve known for years, and others are just passing through to somewhere else. We try to keep things honest and just do the work that’s right in front of us. There’s always a pile of old parts in the corner and the smell of oil in the air. Sometimes the rain comes down hard on the tin roof and we have to shout to hear each other, but we’re used to it. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down, fix what needs fixing, and hope the next day isn't quite as hot as the last one.
