Nandi

Nandi is our small business based out of Villages Ilmasnagar, in the Tehsil Samastipur area. We are located right at the Main Chowk, which is quite easy to find since we are near the Central Bank of India. Being at such a busy intersection means there is always something going on outside our door. We’ve been here for a while now, and most people in the village know us. The shop isn't anything fancy. It’s just a practical space where we handle our daily work. Most of the staff comes from the nearby houses, so it feels a bit like a family operation. We don't spend money on big advertisements or billboards. Instead, we just focus on the tasks we have each day. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we have to sit outside and wait for it to come back, which gives us a chance to talk to the neighbors. It gets really dusty with all the trucks passing through the chowk, so we are always cleaning the counters. My brother helps with the accounts while I look after the actual work on the floor. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We don't have a big office or a receptionist. If you need us, you just walk in and ask for whoever is around. We just try to get things done and keep moving forward.
