Jai Maa Bhagwati Organic Farmingproducer Company Limited is our group located in Rohua West. We are in the Waris Nagar area of Samastipur. The company is run through Chandra Mohan Thakur. We chose the name because we wanted something that felt right for our community. We are all about organic farming here. Samastipur has always been an agricultural place, and we are just trying to keep that tradition going but without using the chemicals that have become so common. Our setup in Rohua West is pretty basic. It’s where we gather to talk about the farming cycles and how we can help each other out. We don’t have a big budget for fancy things, so we just focus on the soil and the crops. Most of the people involved are just local farmers who have been doing this their whole lives. Chandra Mohan Thakur helps keep things organized so the paperwork doesn’t fall behind. It gets busy during the planting and harvest seasons, and that’s when you’ll find most of us out in the fields rather than at the office. We are just a group of neighbors trying to make sure our organic farming stays viable. We don’t make big promises or use marketing tricks. We just show up every day, work the land, and try to sell what we grow for a price that keeps us going for another year.
