Union Food Products Saree Jayashree Food Products

We have been running things here at Plot No. 41 in the S. I. D. C. O. Women Industrial Estate for a good while. It is tucked right behind Karuppur Engineering College, so we see a lot of students walking by every day. Our name is a bit of a mouthful, Union Food Products Saree Jayashree Food Products, because we handle both food items and sarees. It might seem like an odd combination to some people, but it just happened that way over time. The estate is a busy place, mostly filled with other women-run businesses. Every morning, we start early to beat the heat in Karuppur. It gets really warm in these industrial sheds by midday. We do not have fancy offices or a big reception area. Most of the space is taken up by the stock and the packing tables. We spend our time checking the quality of the food and making sure the sarees are folded correctly. There is usually some noise from the neighbors' machines, but we have gotten used to it. Sometimes the delivery trucks have trouble finding us because the roads behind the college are a bit narrow, so we often have to stand out front and wave them in. It is just a regular, hardworking spot. We do not do any flashy advertising or anything. People usually find out about us from their friends or by just walking past our plot.
