Superviser

I’m the son of P. Raji, and we operate out of Kandhanur in the Kullamudayanur area of Mettur. It’s deep in the Salem district, so it’s very much a rural setting. We call our work Superviser, and we do it right from our home base here. The Mettur taluk is known for the dam and the industries, but out here in the village, it’s mostly fields and quiet roads. We don't have a fancy office building. We just use a room in the house where we can keep our ledgers and phone. It gets very hot here in the summer, and sometimes the dust from the fields blows right through the windows. We don't have any staff in uniforms or a big polished desk. It’s just us and the local people we talk to every day. Life moves a bit slower in Kandhanur. We don't rush around like they do in the cities. If someone needs to see us, they usually just drop by after the morning chores are done. We have a few cows nearby, and the sound of the village is always in the background. It’s a practical way to live. We don't have a website or big advertisements. We just rely on the fact that people in the district know who we are and where to find us. It’s a humble setup, but it’s ours, and we’ve been here a long time now.
