We’ve got a small setup at 19/1 on Pillayar Koil Street. Thottapalayam is a lively place to be, and our street is no exception. There is a lot of foot traffic past our door every day. We’ve been in this building for several years, and it feels like home to us now. It’s a bit of an old structure, so the windows rattle when heavy vehicles go by. We don't have a fancy reception area or anyone to answer phones in a professional voice. Usually, if the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. We spend our days managing whatever comes through the door. It might be a bit messy sometimes with papers and samples lying around, but we manage. The tea stall at the corner is where we get our morning start. My cousin helps me out with the daily tasks, and we have one other person who comes in to help with the heavy lifting. We don't really do much in the way of marketing. Most people find us because they live nearby or someone told them about us. It’s a very local way of doing things. We like the pace of Thottapalayam. Even when things get hectic, we just take it one step at a time and make sure the day's work is finished before we lock up. It's a simple life, and we are quite content with it.
