Ponna Travels

It’s been quite a few years since we started running vehicles from our place at No 26 Kesavan Nagar. Salem gets really hot in the summer and most people here know Eswari Garden is the main landmark to find us. We keep our cars parked out front and wait for the phone to ring. Sometimes it's a short trip to the market or sometimes a long drive out of town for a family function. My cousin helps out with the driving when things get busy during the festival times. We don't have a big fancy office or anything, just a small spot where we sit and manage the bookings. Most of the people around here are neighbors and they just walk over when they need a ride. We try to keep the seats clean because that’s what matters most when you are traveling for hours. The roads towards the hills can be rough so we check the tires often. It's just a regular local business trying to make things work. If you are near the Kannankurichi area, you probably see our white boards passing by quite a bit. We don't do much advertising because everyone in the colony knows where we are. It is a simple life of driving and making sure people get to where they are going without too much trouble. Sometimes we are late because of the traffic near the main road but we always show up at the door.
