Our place for Mayilvahanam Travels is right there at the Annadanapatti junction in Salem. It's the main Five Road area, so there is always noise from the buses and bikes going past. Being at such a big crossroads means we see a lot of people every single day. We handle travel bookings and help people figure out how to get from one town to another without too much trouble. It’s a small office, mostly just filled with trip sheets and a few old calendars on the walls. The mornings start early because that’s when most people want to head out. We spend a lot of time on the phone making sure drivers are ready and that the vehicles are where they need to be. Sometimes things don't go exactly to plan, like a flat tire or a traffic jam near the bypass, but we just deal with it as it comes. It's not a corporate setup at all. We know most of the regulars by their names. People stop by for a chat even if they aren't booking a trip that day. The heat in Salem can be something else, especially in the middle of the day, so the shop stays a bit dark to keep cool. We’ve been part of this corner for a while now.
