Cctv Point is based in Elampillai, Salem, and we’ve been working out of this area for a good while now. Our day usually starts at the shop where we check our tools and grab the cameras and cables we need for the day’s work. A lot of our time is spent out on the road, going from one place to another in Salem to get things set up. It’s a lot of climbing ladders and drilling into walls, which can be pretty tiring when the weather is hot. We aren't some big security firm with a bunch of suits; we’re just guys who know how to wire up cameras and get them working on a screen. The shop in Elampillai is where we keep all the stock and where we go to finish up the paperwork. It’s a bit cluttered with boxes and spare parts, but we know where everything is. We don't use any complicated sales pitches or anything. People just call us when they want some cameras put up, and we go and do it. It’s practical work and we try to be honest about what will work and what won’t. Sometimes the jobs are quick and sometimes they take all day. We just take it as it comes and keep moving. Elampillai is a quiet place but it keeps us busy enough.
