Arun Devi Transports

We are located right over in Shevapet at the Housing Board, specifically No 74 on the Suramangalam Main Road. It is a busy part of Salem and there is always noise from the trucks and buses going by. We have been handling transport work from here for a long time now. Most of our days are spent checking on the drivers and making sure the loads are ready to go. It is not an easy job because the traffic on this main road can be a real headache, especially in the mornings. We started small and just kept at it year after year. Our office is a simple place where we keep the registers and talk to the guys after they finish their trips. People in Shevapet know us because we have been in this same spot for so long. We handle a lot of different goods and every day brings something different to deal with. Sometimes the weather makes things hard but we just have to keep moving. We don't have any big slogans or things like that, we just focus on getting the work done. The housing board area is where I grew up, so it feels right to run the business from here. It gets dusty and loud but that is just how Shevapet is. We try to be fair with everyone who comes to us for help with moving their stuff. It’s just how we earn our living.
