Ap Durai & Sons

We are located at 4/433 on the Bangalore Main Road in Jagir Ammapalayam. Most people around here use the Shankar Theatre as a landmark to find us, as it is just a short distance away. Ap Durai & Sons has been a family-run thing for quite some time. The building itself is right on the main road, so we see all the traffic going toward Bangalore all day long. It can be quite loud with the buses and trucks passing by, but we’ve grown used to the constant hum of the engines. Inside, the shop is a bit traditional. We have a lot of stuff piled up, and it’s a bit cramped, but it works for us. We aren't trying to be a modern showroom. It’s more of a place where you come to get things done and talk to people who know the trade. My sons and I handle most of the daily operations. We start the day early and usually stay until the sun goes down. People stop by because they know the name and they know we’ve been in Jagir Ammapalayam for years. We don't have any big corporate goals or fancy mission statements. We just want to provide what the local people and passing travelers need. It’s a straightforward business built on being there every day and knowing our customers. The theater nearby brings in crowds, so the evenings are always lively around the shop.
