Dc Inter College is located in Simri Bakhtiarpur, which is part of the Saharsa district in Bihar. It’s a quiet enough area most days, though the market nearby can get lively. The college is a simple structure where we handle the intermediate classes for local kids who don't want to travel all the way to the bigger cities. Most of our students come from the surrounding villages, often arriving on cycles or walking down the dusty paths. The building itself is honest and functional. We have a few rooms for different subjects, and the desks are the heavy wooden kind that have been there for years. During the monsoon, the ground gets a bit muddy, but we manage to keep things moving. It’s not a high-tech place. We use chalkboards and notebooks, and the teachers spend a lot of time just talking through the lessons. There isn't any polished marketing team here; it’s just us doing the daily work. Sometimes the goats from the nearby houses wander near the gate, and we have to shoo them away. It feels like home to many of us who have lived in Saharsa our whole lives. We don't have air conditioning or fancy lounge areas, just a place to sit and learn. Life moves a bit slower in Simri Bakhtiarpur, and our college just follows that same pace. It might not look like much from the outside, but it is where we spend our days.
