If you drive down Dehradun Road, you will eventually find Indus Plast Pvt. Ltd. at the 6th K.M. stone. We are located right opposite the Nav Gaja Peer on Sarak Dudhlee. It is a bit out of the main city center, which is actually quite nice because it is a little quieter, though the road still gets very busy with heavy trucks. Our factory is a large, older building that has seen a lot of use over the years. Inside, it is all business and very practical. We have rows of machines and a lot of finished plastic goods waiting in stacks to be shipped out. The smell of melting plastic is something you never quite lose, even after you go home at night. We have a good team of workers here who know the machines inside out. Sometimes things go wrong, like a belt snapping or a motor stalling, and we all have to pitch in to get things moving again. There is no real corporate hierarchy here; even the managers will get their hands dirty if they have to. We have a small tea stall just outside our main gates where most of us gather for a few minutes during our breaks. It is a simple life for the most part. We make our products, we load them onto the trucks, and then we start the whole process again the next day. Indus Plast Pvt. Ltd. has been part of this stretch of Dehradun Road for a long time.
