About Delhi Public School – Education in Saharanpur
Our school is based in Roorkee, a town that most people know for the engineering college, but for us, it’s just home. The campus is quite spread out with a lot of green space, which is nice when the weather is good. In the winter months, the fog gets so thick here that you can barely see the main gate from the office window. We have a lot of students coming from the nearby areas, and the mornings are always a bit of a rush with buses and parents dropping off their kids. Inside the main building, the corridors are long and a bit echoing. Our office isn't anything special; it’s got old filing cabinets and some maps on the wall. We don’t really do those polished corporate meetings. Usually, if there’s a problem, we just stand in the hallway and talk it out. The playground is where the kids spend most of their energy, and we have to keep an eye on them so they don't get too rough. Sometimes the grass grows too fast during the monsoon and it takes us a while to get it mowed. We have a small canteen where the staff goes for tea and biscuits. It’s a very routine life, focused on the daily needs of a big school. We try to keep things practical and don’t worry too much about looking fancy for anyone. It's just us.
