Our shop is over at No. 1471 Court Road, right near the post office. You can usually tell you’re close because of the smell of wood shavings and polish in the air. We’ve been Golden Tree Furniture Handicrafts for a good bit now, and the place is always a bit of a mess with sawdust. We work with our hands mostly, cutting and carving different pieces of furniture. It’s not the kind of place where everything is perfect and clean. There are wood scraps on the floor and half-finished chairs sitting in the corners. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us who enjoy making things that actually last. Sometimes we spend all day on a single table leg because the grain of the wood is tricky. Being near the post office means we see a lot of people walking by, and some of them pop their heads in to see what we are making. We don’t do much fancy advertising. We just rely on the fact that people in this town know we are here on Court Road. If you come by, you’ll likely find us covered in dust or looking for a misplaced chisel. It’s a bit loud with the saws running, but we like it that way. We just want to make decent furniture that people can actually use in their homes without it falling apart.
