Shri Aanadpur Sahib Yuva Women Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are a group of younger women from Aagampura village who decided to start our own farmer producer group. Rajesh Kumar helps us out with the space here in Anandpur Sahib. It's a beautiful area, and we are proud to be working the land here. We aren't some big city company. We are just local women who know how to farm and want to do it more professionally. We talk a lot about how to use newer methods but still keep the traditional ways that our parents taught us. It’s a mix of both. Our office is just a simple room in the village where we gather to sign papers or plan for the next season. It’s usually noisy with everyone talking at once. We share ideas on how to save money on fertilizer or how to get our produce to the market without it spoiling. It’s very much a community effort. Most of us have known each other since we were kids. This company is just our way of making sure the youth here stay involved in farming and can make a decent living from it. We don't have a marketing department. We just have our hands and our crops. It’s tough work, but doing it together makes it a lot better. We are just trying to build something for our future and for the village of Aagampura. It’s hard but we keep going through every season.
