Shivalik Rice & General Mills

Living and working in Village Tibbhatapriya means things move at a certain pace. Our mill is right here, and most of us grew up in this area. We handle rice and other general milling work that comes our way. It is not a huge operation, but it keeps us busy throughout the year. When the harvest starts, the whole village feels different. There are more tractors on the road and everyone is talking about the crop. Inside the mill, it’s always a bit noisy. You get used to the sound of the hullers after a while. We don't have a big marketing team or anything. Most of our neighbors just stop by to talk or check on their orders. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so much grain moving through, it’s a constant struggle. Some days are long, especially when the load is heavy. We eat our lunch together in the small room near the back. Usually, it’s just dal and roti brought from home. The roof leaks a bit when it pours, so we have to move the bags around to keep them dry. It’s just part of running a business in a small village. We know everyone by name here. It feels good to be part of the community and contribute what we can. We don't have fancy brochures. If you need us, you just come to the village and ask for the mill. That’s how we’ve always done it.
